REQUIREMENTS
- Must have passion and interest in markets and trading
- Trading experience is not necessary however a track record is a clear advantage and experience in financial markets or other areas of finance is also advantageous
- Quantitative skills in mathematical analysis, statistical methods, programming, financial modeling, and risk management to drive profitable trading strategies
- Basic understanding of micro and macroeconomics, markets and current events
- Ability to remain calm and composed in a high-pressure environment
- Confident when dealing with colleagues, clients, partners at all levels
- Proven problem-solving skills, attention to detail and aptitude with numbers
- Fluent in English – additional languages are a plus
- Relevant degree in Economics, Finance or Business Administration
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Market Analysis: Monitor and analyze EU ETS market data, regulatory updates, and environmental policy changes to inform trading decisions.
- Flow Trading: Support our flow trading by communicating orders and providing analysis of the markets among clients, the Trading desk and the Corporate Traders. Manage trade executions, and pre and post trade processes.
- Trading Strategy Development: Collaborate with the trading team to design and execute innovative trading strategies based on quantitative analysis and market insights
- Quantitative Modeling: Develop and implement quantitative models to forecast carbon price movements and identify risk/reward opportunities within the EU ETS (supply & demand, VAR, derivatives portfolio)
- Risk Management: Apply rigorous risk management techniques to quantify, monitor, and manage the risk associated with trading positions.
- Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with the trading team to refine trading models and strategies. Prepare and present trading insights and performance reports to management.
