🌟About the Role:
As an intern in our Shipping team, you’ll work closely with our Head of Shipping and traders to help grow a portfolio of major shipping clients through administrative support for onboarding checks. This is a hands-on, support role where you’ll develop an overview of emission trading activities and client support tasks. It’s a dynamic and growing niche market that’s ripe with opportunity, and possibility for permanent placement.
📋Key Responsibilities:
During your internship, you’ll gain valuable insight into the workings of the carbon market and develop essential skills which support Sales Trading. Tasks include:
- Client sales support: Craft and adapt all client newsletters and reports sent daily (weekly newsletter, daily newsletter, daily assessment of price alert level and of the SBL orderbook, price alert mails). You will learn about market trends and client communications.
- Research and contact: Assess new and existing clients, their potential exposure under ETS and if they will be directly involved in the EUAs procurement. You will gain understanding in the EU ETS market scope and applicability and the network of shipping clients.
- Systematically implementing the linkage between MRV/Marine/Traffic and our CRM allowing us to have better visibility on the exposure of the companies under the ETS.
- Client administration: Support customer account setup in our CRM; support in ensuring shipping client data maintained and updated
- Client Onboarding: Support and manage the documentation for new and ongoing client onboardings in gathering and processing documentation and liaising with Back Office.
- Sales material support: support in production of various presentation documents, slides, presentations
🔍What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking ambitious students who are:
- Relevant degree in Economics, Finance, or Business Administration, or degree in progress.
- fluent English being is a must, any additional languages is a big plus
- Interested in learning about EU ETS, shipping, KYC/AML, sales processes and client service practices.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
- A natural inclination to support a team and collaborate effectively..
