    • German emissions Trading system (nEHS)

    Vertis was the first trading firm to execute a transaction in the nEHS. We can provide you with direct access to the primary market, procure certificates within the 10% rule, grant access to a large network of sellers and buyers, allowing you to resell excess certificates and buy units from the previous compliance year. We will help you avoid fines derived from a shortage of certificates.

    Make informed decisions

    The German Emissions Trading System (in German: Nationales Emissionshandelssystem, or nEHS) is an adjacent system to the EU ETS. It covers the heating and transport sectors in Germany. The obligation to surrender emission certificates lies with the distributors of fuels. They are obliged to purchase and submit 1 National emission certificate for each CO2 tonne emitted.
