BUDAPEST, Hungary – 30 September 2013 – Vertis Environmental Finance, a long-standing emissions trading company, announces the appointments of Mark Dickinson as CEO and Andrew Ager as Head of Trading, effective 1st October 2013. Mark Dickinson replaces Barna Baráth, who has managed the firm for 11 years. Barna will remain on the board of Vertis and will continue to be actively involved in the business. Mark is an experienced entrepreneur from the energy sector. He founded and built an energy services business, Encore International, and sold it in 2010 to M&C Energy Group. He subsequently became CEO of the group and developed it organically and through acquisitions into a global platform serving 1,000 of the world’s largest energy consumers. Andrew Ager was head of the emissions business of Jefferies Bache Commodities Limited in London until 2012, before which he worked on the Carbon and Energy Desk at MF Global. Previously he traded currency with AIB in London, New York and Dublin. “Mark brings the necessary leadership skills and relevant industry experience to lead the next stage of the company’s development” – said Baráth. “And with the appointment of Andy, we are making a step-change in our markets and trading capabilities in carbon and beyond.” “Vertis has great clients, an outstanding team and the right infrastructure to grow its business across Europe with a wider range of products and services” – said incoming CEO, Mark Dickinson. Andrew Ager said: “I am pleased to join one of the most credible firms in the carbon markets, which is so committed to leveraging the markets to serve its growing client base.” For further information, please contact: Mariann Csikesz Business Development Manager Vertis Environmental Finance Ltd.
